We’re still the same trusted team that you’ve come to know, just with even more advantages, resources, and solutions for all your tooling needs. Originally founded by Brad Beamon and George Cobb, Eclipse has been proud to serve the Northwest out of Boise, Idaho, since August 21, 2017. Both Brad Beamon and George Cobb were already established, well-respected industry professionals long before teaming up to create Eclipse. Beamon had spent the entirety of his career on the supply side of the tooling business, while Cobb brought decades of hands-on experience as an application engineer in machining tools. With both of their extensive careers in the industry, Beamon and Cobb knew exactly what they wanted Eclipse to be, as well as what they didn’t. From day one, their mission was simple: serve the industry with complete integrity and do right by the customer.

Eclipse got its name from the first total solar eclipse visible across the contiguous United States since 1918, also known as the “Great American Eclipse,” which just so happened to occur on the day of the company’s founding. The company then proceeded to live up to its namesake by building a reputation for an unmatched customer experience that drew vendors and buyers alike from across the Northwest. At the heart of that reputation was Eclipse’s legendary open houses, held at their expansive Boise showroom. Vendors competed for a spot on the floor, and attendance regularly reached between 200 and 400 people. The open houses offered something that many local shops and manufacturers across the region had never quite seen before: the energy and variety of a trade show, right in their backyard. Though Eclipse has since grown beyond its original location, our loyal customers have meant everything to us, and we couldn’t be more excited about bringing them even more value than before.
